Chapter 4
*3rd pov*
As the young Ranger and Nick were making their way back to the Fisherman, Nick abruptly stopped while looking over to Renbow Island.
"Hmm?" (Y/n) questioned as she too stopped.
"Ranger." Nick called. Said person immediately shot him an annoyed look. "I-I mean (Y/n), did you see that?"
"See what?" (Y/n) asked.
"The Wireless Tower on Renbow Island over there just flashed a couple of times!" Nick said.
"It did?" (Y/n) questioned as she looked in the direction Nick was looking. He nodded in confirmation before pointing out a large tower on the island.
"You see that over there? The building near the summit, do you see it?" Nick asked. The Ranger nodded. "That's the Wireless Tower on Mt. Latolato. I just saw something flash around its antenna....."
Just as Nick finished, the are around the top of the tower flashed about two or three times.
"I see it too!" (Y/n) exclaimed before quietly muttering to herself. "What does this mean?"
The area around the top of the tower flashed two or three times once more.
"There! Did you see that? Were you paying attention?" Nick questioned.
"Of course I was paying attention!" (Y/n) exclaimed.
"S-Sorry!" Nick apologized. "But, I wonder what that flashing is......Oh no! Could it be.....that my boss is angry because I'm still here, and he climbed up the Wireless Tower antenna to give me a scolding with signals using a mirror or something....."
"I highly doubt that that's what's going on here....." (Y/n) quietly commented to herself while giving Nick a mixed look of non amusement and slight annoyance.
"Oh what am I doing? I started thinking negative again." Nick stated as he snapped himself out of it. He then turned to (Y/n). "Its a bad habit of mine. It can go on endlessly, so please do not hesitate to stop me when it happens. Let's hurry and deliver the ukulele material."
"Alright, then let's keep going." She replied as they both resumed making their way back to the fisherman (assuming he's still there).

"Your back!" Ralph cheerfully exclaimed as both Nick and (Y/n) entered the house.
"Pichu!" Ukulele Pichu also cheerfully cried out as it ran up to the young Ranger. "Pichu! Pichu!"
"Yeah, we're back! And we've got the material." (Y/n) happily stated as she handed the material over to Booker.
"Hey, Booker. Can't you fix the Styler just like the ukulele?" Ralph suddenly asked.
"I'm no good with computers and fancy electronic thingamabobs." Booker replied. "Why are ya askin'?"
"I was just wondering if you could since (Y/n)'s Styler looks pretty beat up." Ralph answered.
"Its okay. I'm sure I can fix it up later but thanks for asking though, Ralph." (Y/n) said while giving the little boy a smile.
"Anyway, thanks for your hard work, y'all." Booker said. "Well then, let's fix this here ukulele."
He then turned to his young apprentice. "Nick. Would you like to give it a try?" He asked.
Said person immediately turned to face Booker with a look of surprise on his face. "Is that okay!? I'd love to do it!" Nick happily exclaimed.
Booker nodded then turned to (Y/n). "This will take a while to repair. How about doin' a patrol around the village?"
"I can guide you around Cocona Village!" Ralph eagerly said as he approached (Y/n).
"Sure, why not?" She commented. 'Looks like I'm not gonna catch a break around here anytime soon......'
"Great! C'mon let's go!" The little excited boy exclaimed as he began dragging (Y/n) outside.
*(Y/n)'s pov*
I knew Ralph had energy, but I didn't think he'd have this much energy! It also doesn't help that I've been practically running all over the place without a break every time someone needed help. Like now for example, I was barely out through the door when I heard someone call for me.
"Oh! A Ranger! Perfect timing!" An unknown voice called out.
Both Ralph and I turned to face a young man who looked quite worried.
"What's wrong?" I asked. I know I probably shouldn't but I just can't decline someone who might need help.
"There is something I would like you to see. Could you come to the plaza West of the village?" He asked.
"Of course." I answered. The young man then proceeded to leave.
"I wonder what it could be?" Ralph questioned. "(Y/n), let's go have a look!"
"Alright, but you have to what I say, okay?" I said. "I don't want you to get hurt incase it might be something dangerous."
"Okay." He said.
We both quickly made our way to the West of the village where we found a small group of people surrounding what appeared to be a small stone pillar of sorts. But the thing that really caught my attention was the glowing sphere of light that the pillar seemed to be emitting.
"Now I've seen everything.....The Stone of Time is glowing." A man quietly commented.
"]Ralph and I then slowly approached the group and joined them in staring at the strange glowing light.
"What is that!?" Ralph exclaimed. "I've never seen anything like it!"
"Oh good. The Ranger's here!" The same young man from before exclaimed. "This suddenly started glowing a little while ago. What could be causing it?"
"I'm not sure but I promise to figure it all out." I stated. I then approached the light.
However, just as I ad gotten closer the light suddenly began moving. It quickly zoomed to the right, scarring two or three people and causing them to run off.
"EEEEKKK!!!!" A girl screamed as she ran.
Then the light slowly went towards me before quickly zooming towards the people behind me, causing them to run away as well.
"AAAAAGHG!!!!" A man shouted as he too ran.
The light then returned to its previous place before fading away and revealing a mysterious pokemon. But it wasn't just any pokemon. No, it was the legendary pokemon Celebi!
"Biiiii!" It cried out. It then began to circle around me before crying out once more and came charging straight at me.
Out of reflex I launched my Styler at Celebi. "Capture on!!" I shouted.
I was honestly shocked and surprised at how difficult this little battle was. I knew legendary pokemon were strong but this was kind of ridiculous! In the end though, I managed to successfully capture it.
"There, feel calmer now?" I asked it. Instead of an answer I was hoping for, Celebi began to glow and the next thing I know we're both encased in a sphere of bright light. When the light died down I found myself to be in a strange yet somewhat familiar place. Celebi then began to circle around me like before but much slower and calmer. I then quickly and frantically scanned my surroundings while trying to spot anyone that I could recognize. "Hello? Ralph? Anyone? Where the heck am I!?"
"Hey, Celebi! Are you making mischief again?" An unfamiliar voice called out. "Who is this person?"
"Bi!" Celebi cried out as it flew over to a little boy. It then lead the little boy back over to where I was.
"You look.......Interesting." The little boy stated as he analyzed me.
"The same goes of you." I said.
"I've never seen clothes like that before." He said looking confused before a look of realization overcame his face. "Wait! Did you.....come here by Celebi's Time
Travel? Did you....come from another time?"
"Time Travel? Another time? What nonsense do you speak of!?" I questioned.
"Bi!" Celebi cried out once more.
"I've heard of Celebi's Time Travel.....But I never thought it was true....." The boy quietly muttered to himself. He then faced Celebi. "Celebi, why did you do that? You need to take this person back to the right time!"
"I have a name you know!" I exclaimed. 'Seriously, why does everyone always refer to me as person or Ranger?'
"......Hold on. Can you wait for a while?" He asked the pokemon before turning back to me. "My name is Ravio. This sometimes mischievous one is called Celebi. Its my friend. By the way, what's your name? Where did you come from? What do you do? Do I ask too many questions?"
"Whoa there! One question at a time. Anyway, my name's (Y/n). I come from (region), which is probably called something different during this time, assuming that I really did travel through time, but I was currently at Cocona Village earlier. I'm what's known as a Pokemon Ranger back in my time. And I guess you kinda do ask one too many questions." I explained. "But that's not necessarily a bad thing kid."
"I don't have a clue what you're saying. But I think I can say this......." The boy, Ravio, said. "Did you say you came from Cocona Village? Well, this place is called Cocona Plaza. You may come from a different time, but I think we are standing in the same place as that village."
"N-No way! Are you serious!?" I exclaimed in shock and confusion. I quickly took another look around my surroundings. 'No wonder this place seemed kind of familiar....'
"(Y/n)......It scares me to think of knowing the future......" Ravio stated. "But could you tell me more about Pokemon Rangers?"
"I guess.....Well to start off, Pokemon Rangers protect both people and pokemon alike using these devices like this to capture pokemon and enlist them to help us with various tasks. When those tasks are completed we then let them go so that they can go on with their lives as previous." I explained.
"......Capture? Really? Can you get help from pokemon, just like the temple oracles....?" Ravio asked. "Are you sure? Did you become friends with Celebi, (Y/n)?"
"Huh.....Yeah I guess I did." I said with a smile.
"Then can you tell Celebi to stop its mischief?" Ravio asked. "It even brought you here of no reason, it seems. It should know better.....We are right in front of our temples...."
"Temples....?" I questioned.
Ravio just nodded in confirmation. "When you go through Teakwood Forest, there are several temples. These Temples were built to honor a pokemon called Arceus. All those temples are protected by the friendship between pokemon and the temple oracles." Ravio explained. "(Y/n), can you forgive Celebi for being mischievous?"
"Uh, yeah of course." I replied. Ravio smile then turned to Celebi.
"Celebi.....You need to take (Y/n) back to the right time!" He stated.
"Bi....." Said pokemon said downheartedly.
"See you, (Y/n)." Ravio said as he turned back to me. "I guess we won't see each other again......Take care."
"You too, Ravio." I said before Celebi encased me in a sphere of bright light like before. And once again I found myself in a different setting when the light faded. Though, this setting wasn't unfamiliar. I was back to where I was before time traveling. I was then surrounded by Ralph and the same group of people that had summoned me here.
"(Y/n)!" Ralph shouted. "Are you alright!?"
"Yeah, I'm perfectly fine." I answered.
"I was so surprised when that light suddenly started moving." The man from earlier commented.
"I have no idea what just happened." The young man from earlier too also commented.
"I'm just glad your safe....." Ralph said. "Oh! That's right! I'll bet Pichu's ukulele is almost finished. Let's go back to Booker's house."
"Sounds good." I said before remembering something. "Oh yeah! You guys don't have to worry about anything anymore, its all been taken care of!"
"Thank you Ranger." The small group of villagers said. Ralph and I then began making our way back to Booker's house.

*3rd pov*
"Welcome back, y'all." Booker greeted as (Y/n) and Ralph entered. "We just finished fixin' the ukulele."
"Pichu!!" Ukulele Pichu happily shouted.
"Here ya go, Pichu. Your precious ukulele." Booker said as he handed the little pokemon its beloved treasure.
*Ukulele Pichu's pov*
Once Booker handed me my now repaired instrument, I began to strum the strings just to test it out. It sounded just like it did before if not better.
"I'm so happy for you, Pichu!" Ralph cheered.
"Hey, Pichu." Booker called. "We fixed it thanks to (Y/n) and Nick's hard work. Be sure to thank 'em, okay?"
"Of course!" I replied, even though I knew he didn't really understand me. "Thank you Nick~! And thank you too (Y/n)~!"
"By the by, (Y/n), about what to do next....." Booker stated. "You're goin' after those Pinchers or whatever they are, right?"
"Yes. I have to stop them before more people and/or pokemon get hurt or worse." (Y/n) replied with a serious expression on her face. There was an undertone of worry too.
"Its too bad you were separated from your partners, but there's one Area Ranger on this island." Booker explained. "His name is Rand."
"Yes, I vaguely recall the Pinchers mentioning that there was a fellow Ranger stationed here in the region. (Y/n) stated. "I assume that that must be him."
"You should go meet him as soon as possible." Booker urged. "Come to think of it, Rand has a daughter who loves to tinker with machines. She might even be able to fix your Styler."
"Really!? That's great!! Fantastic even!!" (Y/n) exclaimed looking very excited and at the same time relieved.
"Rand's house is to the East past Lapras Beach and a forest......" Nick explained. "At any rate, see you later!"
"See you later, (Y/n)!" Ralph said.
"See you all later!" (Y/n) said before exiting the house.
"Wha......Wait a minute (Y/n)!" I cried out as I chased after the Ranger. But before I exited the house I quickly turned back to face Booker, Nick, and Ralph with a determined look on my face. "I have to do this."
"What's the matter, Pichu?" Ralph asked.
"Looks like Pichu wants to go on an adventure with (Y/n)." Booker casually stated.
"I must!" I exclaimed then exited the house and quickly caught up with the Ranger. Before she could get any farther, I quickly ran around her in a circle directing her attention to me as well as somewhat preventing her from taking another step.
"Hold on there, (Y/n)!" Booker called as he too exited the house and made his way over to us. "(Y/n)! This just popped into my head, but.......Little Ukulele Pichu might be thinkin' that if it works with you, it might be able to save its friends. I heard Pokemon Rangers have a Partner Pokemon that always goes with 'em. How about takin' Pichu along as your Partner Pokemon?"
I looked up to (Y/n) silently begging her to take me with her.
"Well....I don't see why not." She replied. A giant smile broke out across my face at her answer.
"So its settled. Isn't that great, Pichu?" Booker said as turned to me.
"Thank you so much (Y/n)!!!!!" I happily and joyously cried out.
"Before you set out on your adventure, I have something I want to teach you!" Booker stated.
"What is it?" I asked.
"You already know how Pichu's ukulele reacts to Pichu's electricity and plays music, right?" Booker said. "The music this Pichu plays mysteriously reaches the hearts of other pokemon. In other words.....It can help you with your captures."
I strummed my ukulele to quickly demonstrate what Booker meant.
"I'll miss you, but its time to go. Don't cause (Y/n) any trouble now, okay?" Booker said as he now faced me.
"You have my word!" I stated.
He nodded in acknowledgement. "Okay. Its time for you to get goin'. Be sure to find Ukulele Pichu's friends." He said before returning back to his home.
"Now that we're partners, I think I should start calling you by something other than Ukulele Pichu, don't you think?" (Y/n) commented. "Only problem now is, what am I gonna call you?"
